CHRISTMAS FRUIT COOKIES

I decided I should make something the MOTH would like and found this Christmas Fruit Cookie recipe and as I had the ingredients on hand I made them up.  I am pleased with them and as most in my family like fruit and nuts in cakes and cookies I am sure they will be popular.  No fat at all -as fate would have it I picked up a bottle of dark Karo syrup when I went to the specialty shop that sold the lumpia wrappers
The recipe is here:  allrecipes.com

  1. They look awesome!
Another option for Christmas other than the fruit cake.

  2. Not for Aussies Shobha most like their english style fruit cake. We have a very large Christmas pudding and the left overs double cold as fruit cake or heated in the microwave more desserts. I actually used "mixed dried fruits" which I would use in a cake or pudding rather than the "candied fruits" mentioned in the recipe, I really wasnt quite sure what was meant by that.

  3. These look and sound delicious! Wouldn't the candied fruits be what is sold in OZ as glace fruit?? Either one would work well, I think!!

AND ... just LOOOOOVE the Xmas hats on the corellas in your banner!!

    Merry Xmas!!
