1/2 WHOLEMEAL NO KNEAD BREAD WITH TOMATO & BASIL SPREAD & PARMESAN CHEESE IN CENTRE
I decided to cook the other half of the basic wholemeal no knead bread.
I had a jar of tomato and basil spread and decided to try again a braid. I can see I will have to keep on practicing this and take more care to get it even both in thickness the whole length and the side flaps. I also sprinkled some parmesan cheese on the tomato spread before I wrapped it up.
Once it had rested for 90 minutes I brushed it with Italian Salad Dressing and sprinkled it with sesame seeds.
I am cooking it for 30 minutes at the prescribed heat but think I will have to reduce the heat after 10 or so minutes as I have seen suggested elsewhere. Its not quite as dark as it photographed and is still quite edible.
Today was exciting as a replica of the Endeavour sailed by Ltn James Cook sailed in and weighed anchor as part of the Kurnell Festival to celebrate this historic event.
your bread looks amazing wish i could have some now with the shrimp
