CAMP OVEN APPLE CAKE WITH A SOUR CREAM TOPPING

I have had it in mind to try something like this for a while, not sure what started me on this path today.  Maybe it was because I was going to cook some braised cider pork chops and thought I would put the beads to good use.  I surfed around and saw a lot similar with minor variances to the recipes.  I liked the idea of coconut in the base and I had a Sultana Buttercake box and used that instead of the vanilla cake mix.  I also found I had a large tin of pie apples so I used that also. The base came out more like biscuit than cake but tasted good with all the butter in it.  I squeezed passionfruit over some and left some plain.  You could have more cream or ice cream with it but its quite rich.

  2. Nope but I will go check it out. I rather like raspberries or apricots with sour cream so if thats what I have handy next time I will use them instead of the apple. :)
