SIMPLE BRAIDED BREAD

I was fascinated by a simple braid bread and just had to try it.  I used a basic no knead wholemeal bread dough I had in the refrigerator.  The resulting loaf didnt show the braids that well so next time I would try a Brioche dough.  The bread tasted fine though with the best crust I have made so far.

  1. Love the braiding video. Your breads look wonderful. The crumb is so pretty. What creative ways to use the doughs.

  2. Isn't the 2-strand braid fun! I just love making it and for some reason a braided loaf of bread always bakes so nicely.

Great idea to use seeds and cheese on the strands and then braid it. I'm going to try that next time I make a braid!

  4. Very nice, and I love the video! It was a time out moment from a very stressful day. THANKS for reminding me how baking relieves my stress.

Your braid is beautiful. I never thought of baking with the steam for my braided challahs.
